Some of the recent repairs I've carried out on desktop PCs are the replacement of the Power Supply Unit (PSU), one or more memory chips and replacing its drive.

Julia the PC GP has had many years experience in diagnosing the cause of most common (and many not so common) computer problems affecting computers, both desktop PCs and laptops and netbooks.

After a thorough diagnosis   Julia may find the fault is severe, especially if the main circuitry has developed a fault.  In  these situations, she will let you know that the cost is high enough for her to recommend that you consider investing instead in a replacement computer and assist you to purchase and set this up with your programs and files

Julia has used Windows based computers for over 20 years and is familar with all versions of Windows - XP, Vista and 7 (I'm familiarising myself with Windows 8 now).

As well as MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher) she has used hundreds of Windows programs.

Laptop or netbook repairs are more specialist and complex (even for a PC GP!)and so a repair estimate can be obtained from a local qualified engineer.

Many computer problems can even be resolved

 quickly and easily - even without a home visit - as LogMeIn allows her to see your screen over the internet
